你将使用与 [**Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center at the Broad Institute**](https://www.broadinstitute.org/)、[**Broad Diabetes Initiative**](https://www.broadinstitute.org/diabetes/diabetes-genetics-initiative)、[**Massachusetts General Hospital**](https://www.massgeneral.org/) 以及 [**Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center**](https://www.bidmc.org/) 合作收集的前沿生物数据。

## 快速概览 <a href="#quick-tl-dr" id="quick-tl-dr"></a>

## 介绍 <a href="#introduction" id="introduction"></a>

### 生物学：储存能量 vs. 燃烧能量 <a href="#the-biology-storing-energy-vs.-burning-energy" id="the-biology-storing-energy-vs.-burning-energy"></a>

### 实验：翻转遗传开关 <a href="#the-experiment-flipping-genetic-switches" id="the-experiment-flipping-genetic-switches"></a>

<a href="#why-cannot-we-physically-test-every-single-gene-in-the-human-genome" id="why-cannot-we-physically-test-every-single-gene-in-the-human-genome"></a>

<a href="#why-this-matters" id="why-this-matters"></a>

### 竞赛挑战 <a href="#the-challenge" id="the-challenge"></a>

### 1. “内部状态”（基因表达谱） <a href="#id-1.-the-internal-state-gene-expression-profiles" id="id-1.-the-internal-state-gene-expression-profiles"></a>

### 2. “细胞身份”（细胞类型分化） <a href="#id-2.-the-cell-identity-cell-type-differentiation" id="id-2.-the-cell-identity-cell-type-differentiation"></a>
